Handels, craft stores, and video games

So yesterday was our "go out and do stuff" day, which isn't actually a weekly thing it just happened that yesterday we did a bunch of stuff. So today we haven't done anything. Jeremy hasn't even showered yet, which... gross. I don't know maybe it's just me but I really enjoy showering. Being clean is one of the awesomest things for me.

It's probably true.

Anyway this is what we managed to accomplish yesterday, not that any of it is of interest:

  • Got Jeremy's hair cut (which he really needed... he was starting to look like a Beatles reject)
  • Bought random stuff at the craft store to occupy us later yesterday evening (and it did too, I'm still working on my project)
  • Called about a duplex for rent that's kind of out of our price range but we're looking at it anyway
  • Walked around the mall to work off the Five Guys we had for lunch-
I have to stop here. This is very, very important. Yesterday, for lunch... I had Five Guys. For the first time. Ever.
And it was amazing.

  • Bought stuff, including but not limited to: video games, candles, feathers, etc.
  • Went to Handel's (and I still have ice cream left over, which I'm currently delighting in... mmm cake batter)

(An image search for Handel's Cake Batter Ice Cream pulls up this guy, George Frideric Handel, conveniently one of my favorite composers. Fun fact: I had no idea his middle name was Frideric.)

  • Had soup for dinner and watched Starship Troopers (does anybody else love it despite how awful the acting is? It's essentially a propaganda film, which I've never read the book but I don't know if that's the purpose of the book too, I imagine it is, Heinlein really enjoyed his messages.)
And that is actually it. We also went to bed fairly early. Because I guess we're old. Another fun thing that happened yesterday was that I had to separate a bunch of blue sequins from all these other colors that I don't really care about for that project that I mentioned (READ see above) earlier and it took me literally all of Meet the Robinsons and the first ten minutes of Starship Troopers... I wanted to hit somebody. Why the hell can't they sell me separate bags of sequins? Quit mixing that shit up damn it!

I'll post pictures of the project when it's finished, cause it's going to be Bad Ass, yes upper case badassery. B.A., if you will... Barackus style.

Out.

"On top of the mountain peak...

...where man speaks to himself."

I'm getting restless again. I really don't enjoy winter and I'm super excited that summer's coming soon. Spring is nice cause some of the snow melts but it always comes back before June. And always at some random time after it's been beautiful and 70 for weeks and then out of nowhere... snow. Effs up my sinuses and makes me want to drill a hole in my face... to relieve pressure, not for any sick benefit or anything.

I spelled 'benefit' wrong and the spell check immediately corrected me. And just now when I spelled 'immediately' I got it right the very first time. Yay me.

We saw Repo Men last night. When I first saw a commercial for it I was like, hey this seems very familiar... except there's no rock-opera music. The good news is that Repo Men is only similar to The Genetic Opera in that there's organ repossession. Other than that, totally different story line. And really good actually. Satisfying ending

The picture is pretty, which is why it's here. It calms me occasionally. The crane represents peace and longevity and if you make 1000 paper cranes you get a wish. It's also part of our wedding decor. Which I'm really excited about. Ooh! I'm making this a semi-wedding blog. It will chronicle wedding preparation, wedding day, and honeymoon... which will be in Wales. As well as random BS, which is to be expected from me. I'm all excited now. Take that restlessness!

Monday Night

So yesterday was my birthday. Saw a movie, had some ice cream, got yelled at by my dad for being a stupid driver, had the fan shroud come loose on my Jeep, then had to try to tighten the nuts holding it in place with my hands... didn't work out to well. However, while I was in the Walgreen's parking lot with the hood up working away at it this car pulled up beside me and asked if I needed help. I didn't, but it was nice of them to ask.
Today however I found out I'm not getting my state tax return because apparently one of my student loans had been delinquent for a short period of time and despite the fact that it's being paid on again and current they still took my money. Because they didn't take enough from me during the year. I hate money. I'm up for the barter system. That way it forces people to have many skills instead of no skills and just flipping burgers or folding shirts... I'm angry. And hungry.

It's Wednesday

I'm breaking up with my microwave. For real this time. I even have a replacement microwave standing by... just waiting for that space between my fridge and... more cupboard, to open up. It's smaller, sure. And oddly, heavier. But I'll bet it also won't utterly destroy my
fiancees sperm count and make it next to impossible for us to recreate. Apparently it's a Welbilt microwave. I have my doubts.

Today the glass plate that's supposed to slowly rotate stopped rotating. We've had this argument before. I've just had to reset the dish on the ring thingy underneath it. Except today it refused all my advances and insisted on not only not slowly rotating, but not rotating at any speed. And shortly after, it exploded my hot chocolate. I was not pleased.

Goodbye microwave.

.... When I leave it at the curb, do I leave a note for any poor soul who happens to take it? WARNING: this microwave is a
douche bag.
