I am so grossed out with myself right now, I can barely laugh about it. I have a plantars wart on my foot. I had no idea what it was. I honestly just thought it was dry skin because I have literally had it since I was 16 years old. I'd just file it down and lotion up and put crazy amounts of powder in my socks in the hopes of moisturizing the weirdness away. Never worked. Then recently I was discussing it with my dad in front of Jeremy who absent-mindedly asked, "is it a plantars wart?"
Never fucking occurred to me that that could be it. So I checked it out via the internets and ta-da, it is. So now I have to put salicylic acid on it for awhile until it clears up. The stuff dries over the top of it but the box doesn't say to cover it after using the drops or anything so I don't know if I'm supposed to go about my daily routine or if I should be like, wrapping it or something.
I would also like to note that it's not a horribly grotesque wart or anything. You can't even see the seeds, or roots, or whatever is at the base of a plantars wart. It's just this abnormal cauliflower looking thing on the ball of my foot. Occasionally it hurts to stand on it. But the box and the internet told me this was all normal. We'll see what happens.
